Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her most well-known role is her character Skyler White in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting while attending Preparatory School. The late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons performing in Chicago the theatre before moving to film and TV roles. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big character in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. The early 90s were when she was a frequent actor in both film and TV, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons in Deadwood's second season. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film and a few other films were also starring her. Gunn has also appeared on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the audio drama podcast series of four parts The Numbered Days series, which launched in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the series.
